I've been working on a few new portraits lately to bulk up my illustration portfolio. I just finished this one yesterday. Usually it's so hard for me to decide who to draw when the subject isn't specifically commissioned for an assignment, but Sofia Coppola was a pretty easy choice. I'm enamored with the visual style to her movies and her fashion sense, plus she has a really interesting face - beautiful, but not in a cookie-cutter way.
Did you know she has a new movie called, Somewhere, coming out soon? I'm intrigued.
