I recently stumbled upon this beautiful 1922 cover from Life Magazine, illustrated by Frank X. Leyendecker, the brother of one of my favorite illustrators ever. As you can see, Frank was extremely talented, too.
Anyway, this illustration is new to me and I absolutely adore it. And it's so timely since I just started reading the F. Scott Fitzgerald short stories that I picked up at a flee market way back when. Oh flappers, with your drunken debauchery and carefree attitudes....every once in a while I could use a little more flapper in my life.
