Okay, so remember when I told you that I keep a file on my laptop for randomly awesome photos that I stumble upon while cruising google images? Out of all of the photos that I've crammed in there, this is my absolute all-time favorite one. Whenever I need a good laugh, I pull it out.

At first glance it's deceptively sad - all you see are these unfortunate depression-era children. But, click on the enlarged version and take a long look at their faces....particularly the two children furthest to the right of rows 1 and 2. If you are curious at all about what could possibly be strike those children with so much terror, just take a gander at the tall drink of water who's teaching them....it gets me every time. And now I'm passing it on to you so you can enjoy it as much as I do. I only wish I could remember where it came from and find out who these little urchins are that give me so much entertainment.

  1. I used one of your sketches in my class today! The kids were most impressed. You can see what the kids did and your sketch here.

I love seeing your sketches. It's actually what inspired me to teach that lesson for Earth Day.
