Jesse and I have been talking about buying a house for a while, but until recently it was just talk. We have about 6 months left on our apartment lease and just had THE DEFINITIVE TALK. Now's the time. Scary, but also very exciting. For someone who kind of always feels like a five year old, this is a very adult move.
We're just in the research phase now - I'm fully entrenched in the world of mortgage brokers, points, closing costs, and fixed-rate vs. adjustable-rate and hybrid mortgages - but once we find our magical little starter house, I'll definitely let you know.

Congrats! It's so exciting to buy your first home. My furture hubs and I bought a house December of 07. After we left the settlement office and got our keys, we went to the house and were both crying when we were unlocking the door for the first time. It's an amazing, frustrating, exciting and rewarding experience. Good luck! If you need any advice, I am in the business and am all ears. Again, good luck!
