It's been raining all morning, but the sky is still really bright. I've opened up all of the shades in our apartment and am enjoying the glow it casts on every room. For some reason, today feels special. Like playing hooky from school special. Maybe it's just because it's Friday. Do you have any fun plans for the weekend? Jesse and I are going to watch Harold and Maude tonight. I've never seen it, but have heard so many good things about it.
To start your weekend on a happy note, here's Pomplamoose's cover of The Chordette's "Mr. Sandman". I love Nataly Dawn's voice and seeing all of the different elements that make up each song (especially the accordion and tiny piano in this one). You should also check out their original Christmas song, "Always in the Season", it's pretty fantastic. And their cover of Beyonce's "Single Ladies".
