I got to hear John Hendrix give a lunchtime lecture at MICA today! I've admired his work for so long, so it was great to actually listen to him talk about his work in person. He gave great advice about finding their personal voice in their work. My only regret is that I didn't get to talk to him after since I had to get back to my own class. If you're not familiar with his work, check it out - his hand lettering, portrait work and sketchbooks are amaaaazing.
