I watched the second half of Ken Burns' two-part documentary The Dust Bowl on PBS last night while working on illustrations. I'm a sucker for Ken Burns' docs anyway and have always been fascinated with this time period in American history so this one is total catnip for me. The photos from the film are about as beautiful as the story is tragic. I'm keeping my eye out for when the first half of the doc plays again.
