Please excuse the ad before the video starts, but Chuck Close's letter to his 14-year-old self is worth it.
Also worth it: Anna's post on her blog, Door Sixteen, about Chuck Close's words of advice to her college graduating class and her thoughts on relying too much on inspiration instead of just getting to work. Very good stuff. I'll admit that I'm kind of just posting all of this here so I can remember it myself.
We're going to an exhibit at Spur Gallery tomorrow night called Swords Buried Deep, featuring the work of Benjamin Marra. Spur rarely exhibits artists and when they do, they're usually pretty great, so we're excited to check it out. Have a great weekend!
