We're apparently in the middle of a blizzard today. Most of the city's shut down and Jesse even got a snow day. I still have work to do at home, but it's nice to have extra company around the house. We keep watching the news and laughing every time the meteorologists threaten us with "thundersnow!!", which just sounds like something out of a cartoon. Last night the sky lightened to the most beautiful bright lilac color as the snow came down. I'd love to spend the rest of the day curled up in bed under a warm quilt like this.
I've never been a quilter, but the d.i.y. instructions listed at the Purl Bee just might tempt me to try it soon.
