Jesse and I will be celebrating it in his hometown. They put on crazy all-day events in their park. We're talking not just fireworks, but cover bands, beauty pageants, funnel cake, baby parades, and talent shows. I should have enough Americana stuffed down my throat by the end of this weekend to last me for the rest of the year.
Oh, and I know that I've been kind of lazy with the blog lately. I started it out as a daily updating experiment, but I'm just not an innate blogger and have a few too many other things needing my attention on a daily basis right now. I think I'm going to have to refocus it on quality, rather than quantity. When I find something that really interests me, I'll post it, but I don't want to just post random stuff to have something up there each day. Then the blog can still be fun and not become a chore. You guys with blogs understand, right? Hope so.
Have a good weekend!
