Last Friday, I got to see this lovely exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art. It featured Toulouse-Lautrec prints, pieces from Picasso's rose period and an old film of a 1940s circus playing on loop in a tent, among much more. Luckily for me, a group of children sat down to watch the film at the exact moment the clowns appeared. Clowns are always much more fun to watch alongside children.
I've always had a thing for circuses and sideshows since I was a kid....I think it's all due to watching Dumbo as a very small child -that movie still makes me cry.
