I'm tempted to buy the 2008 Vintage Classics reissue of John O'Hara's BUtterfield 8 and Appointment in Samarra just for their sleek retro-licous covers (illustrated by Tomer Hanuka). Too bad they were released only in England. Although there is amazon.co.uk....
A few more fun Tomer Hanuka facts:
*He also illustrated the gorgeous, but much more titillating 2007 reissue cover of the Marquis De Sade's Philosophy in the Boudoir (Penguin Classics)...
*His twin brother, Asaf is also a talented illustrator and they tag-team an illustration blog called Tropical Toxic.
*They created illustrations for some scenes in the Oscar nominated film Waltz with Bashir (Best Foreign Film catagory). I've heard it's really good, but haven't seen it yet. Have you?
